Within the Napa Valley, the Oakville American Viticultural Area (AVA) is a two-mile-wide region from the Vaca Mountains in the east to the Mayacamas Mountains in the west. Oakville's heritage includes some of Napa Valley's top producers of Cabernet Sauvignon, including Robert Mondavi, Joseph Heitz, Far Niente and Screaming Eagle.
